Technology

Technology is the core of our activity as an instrument at the service of people, companies and society. We invest in infrastructures and provide solutions. We are taking on a greater role as drivers of the country's digital transformation.

Fixed and mobile networks

We continue to expand our fiber optic network and put Portugal on the map in Europe. We lead the launch of all new generation mobile networks, including 5G, and enable the creation of solutions for various sectors of activity. We are already working on the future 6G network, which will bring us higher speeds and bandwidths.

Satellite Network

We manage the Alfouvar Satellite Center in Sintra, which has more than 60 antennas covering seven and a half hectares. In addition to television channels, this network is used for internet access and radio services, and also plays an important role in the redundancy of national networks in emergency situations.

Data Center Network

We have the largest national network of data centers, with locations in Lisbon, Porto, Covilhã, Madeira, and the Azores. Supported by a robust and highly energy-efficient infrastructure, they ensure levels of redundancy and total security. They position Portugal at the forefront of hosting and managing information technology and cloud computing infrastructures in an innovative and efficient way.

Subsea cables

We are pioneers and leaders in the international and national submarine cable industry. We manage the oldest submarine cable stations located in Sesimbra and Carcavelos and ensure connectivity between the mainland and the islands. Taking advantage of Portugal's privileged geographical position, we are a strategic hub for maritime interconnection between several continents and a partner in major projects on a global scale.

Quantum technology

We are part of a European consortium that aims to create the first segment of a quantum communication network in Portugal (PTQCI). PTQCI is part of the first call for proposals of the European Digital Program and lays the foundations for the national component of what will become the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI), strategic for national and European security.

For industry

3D Digital Twin for factories

A tool that allows you to visualize the performance of the production process in real time (with access to information collected on the shop floor), simulate new production scenarios and access virtual training. It monitors the production process through an exact 3D replica of the factory floor.

Banana Sensing

We are pioneers in the use of Wi-Fi Sensing technology to monitor changes such as movement, gesture recognition and biometric data measurement. We would like to highlight our participation in the Banana Sensing project, which optimizes the banana cultivation and production process in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The aim is to use scientific and measurable methods in the banana production cycle, using sensing and artificial intelligence technological solutions with results in terms of increasing banana production and quality.

Eno Analytics

An intelligent Agro-Tech system, applied to viticulture, which identifies grape varieties using machine learning tools and collects data through IoT applications (environmental, meteorological and wine quality sensors).

For companies

Cybersecurity

We offer security solutions to provide companies with a 360º vision, both internally and in their relations with suppliers and partners. Leaders in the provision of Data Center services in Portugal and France, we offer information technology and cloud computing solutions that are scalable to the size of each business.

Quantum communications

We were the first operator to offer a corporate cloud access solution based on quantum technology. This security solution is designed on a case-by-case basis through a customer qualification process. Banking, healthcare, particularly pharmaceuticals, utility providers and government and military organizations are the sectors with the greatest potential for using this emerging encryption service.

For cities

Environmental monitoring, waste management, traffic and parking management, electric vehicle charging, energy efficiency and solar energy management and geo analytics applied to tourism are some of the solutions we offer the country, making our cities ever smarter.

For the home

SmartHome

An intelligent solution that manages numerous connectivity features within the home, integrated into a single system. Through voice commands and an intuitive mobile app, it allows you to monitor and control, in real time, various home features that can be customized to each situation (for example, turning devices and lights on and off, detecting movement and scheduling tasks).
