In the month in which it celebrates three decades of life, SAPO is presenting an irreverent and innovative proposal for accessing content with the integration of solutions based on Artificial Intelligence. Among the new features are a completely revamped digital experience in a SAPO APP, a new portal with simplified navigation and usability, innovative audio and in-car access features via Carplay and Android Auto, and a revamped graphic identity with the new signature "SAPO - See for yourself". Todaya new SAPO is born, anticipating the next generation of digitalmedia.

A renewed digital experience

SAPO is consolidating its offer of information and entertainment on the go in a single, more modern and personalized mobile application. In the new Mobile App, developed in native language for iOS and Android, in partnership with Bliss Applications, the responsible use of Generative AI (Gen AI) allows access to content adapted to the user's preference, to explore in story format the summaries of all articles, or to use the Summary of the Day for a quick look at the news, and to have access to newspaper covers for consultation first thing in the morning.

With this new app, SAPO will now be available for the first time on the CarPlay and Android Auto platforms, enabling commuters to follow news summaries or content from SAPO's network of partners.      

Simplified navigation and redesigned usability experience on sapo.pt

The portal has also been redesigned from scratch, with a new organization, simpler and more direct usability, more suitable for use on mobile devices, with the global universe of all themes centralized at sapo.pt and anchored in three main categories: News, Sports and Culture and Lifestyle. A new area, "See for Yourself", provides a closer and more useful experience for those who visit SAPO several times a day, with content recommended by AI and adapted to the interests of each reader. With this transformation, SAPO provides more intuitive access to the content of an ecosystem of more than 150 national, regional and international reference partners, addressing its thematic and banner diversity in a unique digital place, with its renowned reliability matrix.

Because no one can keep up with everything that happens, SAPO reinforces its mission to always be present with a new signature: "SAPO - See for yourself".

The repositioning of the brand is presented through a multi-media campaign, built on a narrative line that evokes the realization of a dream and appeals to emotion.

With almost 30 years of history, SAPO has kept pace with the evolution of Portugal and the world, contributing to the way the Portuguese inform themselves and communicate. Today, it begins a new chapter: a SAPO with new ambition, prepared for a more digital, closer and more relevant future - without losing its connection to its roots.
