MEO invests in young talent with the new edition of the DarWiN 2025 Trainee Program

MEO today welcomed 24 young talents to join the 2025 edition of the DarWiN Trainee Program, reinforcing the company's commitment to attracting and developing professionals prepared to respond to the challenges of a changing technology sector.

With an average age of 23, this group is made up mostly of young people trained in STEM areas - Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Data Science and Management. Over the course of 12 months, the trainees will join different departments and directorates in the organization, providing them with a transversal vision and practical experience in various strategic areas of the group.

The DarWiN Program stands out for being more than a traditional work experience. It is a personalized integration path that combines:
  • Development of technical and behavioral skills;
  • Workshops and ongoing training;
  • Networking opportunities with different teams and leaders;
  • Close support, promoting confidence, autonomy and team spirit.

The program is designed to stimulate group cohesion and a sense of belonging, creating bridges between different areas and employees, while encouraging innovation and collaboration.

"A new stage begins today for these 24 young people - a path where learning, questioning and transforming will be the watchwords. DarWiN is more than a trainee program: it's a space for evolution, where curiosity and courage are valued. We want them to be protagonists of change and to help us build the future together," says Madalena Albuquerque, MEO's Chief Human Resources Officer.
Since its launch in 2019, more than 300 young people have started a career at MEO through the DarWiN program, bringing energy, creativity and new perspectives to the organization.
This continuous investment in new profiles and innovation has been decisive in MEO's affirmation as a techco of reference in connectivity, technology and innovation, prepared to respond to the challenges of a constantly evolving sector.

With the DarWiN program, MEO reinforces its strategic vision: people as the organization's greatest asset, essential for sustaining the digital transformation and guaranteeing market leadership.
