For the first time, Portugal is hosting the world's largest gathering of young adult scouts, the 16th World Scout Moot 2025. To provide a connected and innovative experience for more than 7,500 participants from 110 countries, MEO Empresas is taking on the role of official technology partner, ensuring a robust infrastructure and advanced connectivity throughout the event, from July 23 to August 3.

State-of-the-art technological infrastructure
In charge of the event's connectivity, MEO Empresas implemented a robust and innovative solution:
- 4,000 meters of optical fiber and 3,000 meters of cable installed;
- Around 75 pieces of network equipment, including switches, routers and Wi-Fi antennas;
- A team of dozens of specialized technicians dedicated to operation and ongoing support;
- Centralized network management and permanent technical support at the two main hubs: Parque Tejo (Lisbon) and Centro Escutista do Buçaquinho (Cortegaça, Ovar).
This infrastructure was designed to meet the demands of a large-scale event, guaranteeing high-capacity Wi-Fi coverage, mobile network reinforcement and full access to fiber optics in all critical areas.
