SAPO distinguished as a recommended brand in 2025

The Recommended Brand seal is, it should be emphasized, the most important indicator of trust and reputation awarded annually in Portugal, resulting exclusively from the satisfaction evaluations made by consumers through the Complaint Portal and, as such, reflecting the actual experience of customers over the last 12 months. As a result of the exceptional support provided to its users, this is the fourth consecutive year that SAPO has received this award. In the ranking, SAPO appears as the only site to deserve this recognition in the "News, Newspapers and Magazines Sites" category, with an outstanding Satisfaction Index of 90.1, above the value obtained the previous year.  

This distinction, which confirms SAPO's place in the preferences and daily habits of the Portuguese, crowns a remarkable year for the brand, which has once again become the most visited Portuguese website with more than 120 million pageviews each month and a monthly average of 3 million users. The figures confirm SAPO's leadership in the aggregation, production and curation of content and digital assets, as well as in the sales house, reaffirming its relevance in digital in Portugal and for the Portuguese.  

In 2024, the portal featured more than 1,200 news items a day. The largest Portuguese website also provided readers with various themed dossiers covering the most emblematic news events in the country and the world, such as the 50th anniversary of April 25, 1974, the various elections that took place in Portugal and abroad, the European Football Championship and the Olympic Games. The diversity and relevance of the content allowed readers to stay informed with the quality brand provided by SAPO and its ecosystem of around 150 reference partners, including national, regional and international ones, which were joined in 2024 by titles such as Expresso, SIC Notícias, A Bola and Record.   

The year was also marked by technological innovation, with the integration of new technologies into the portal. In some of the news events, SAPO enriched its content using Artificial Intelligence. This was the case with content such as PolAItólogos or Tovarminator vs SAPOZILLA, which provided detailed information on the electoral programs of Portuguese parties in the race for government, and a titanic struggle between man and machine during Euro 2024, respectively. Among the most popular journalistic topics on SAPO in 2024 were the legislative elections and the start of the new legislature, the death of musician Marco Paulo, the elections in the United States of America and the worldwide prominence achieved by Gisèle Pelicot. Being absolutely transversal in its scope, SAPO once again served an audience balanced between women and men.  

In this year in which SAPO was distinguished by the Portal da Queixa as a Recommended Brand and reinforced its Superbrand status, it has consistently made a difference in all the areas in which it operates: in product development with a view to greater modernization, updating and originality of the experience offered; in the creative and pioneering way of providing quality and reference content, for a more informed and critical country; in the diversity of commercial solutions; in the relevance of an ecosystem of partnerships with media players and reference content in Portugal; and in its presence at the most emblematic events, starting with the SAPO Awards being given in the context of Rock in Rio, allowing it to consolidate a closer relationship with users and customers.  

The year 2024 thus once again positions SAPO as a leading digital brand in Portugal, demonstrating its ability to evolve and innovate, while remaining faithful to its role as a leader in online information and entertainment.
