Deaf customers can now benefit from personalized service in Portuguese Sign Language (LGP) in the brand's 160 stores. This initiative is the result of a partnership with Serviin, allowing deaf people and store staff to communicate with each other through qualified interpreters. Communication is ensured through video interpretation, accessible by cell phone, online or via QR code.
In addition to this new inclusive experience, the Fundação MEO also offers benefits in MEO stores when purchasing accessibility solutions: hardware and software for accessibility on cell phones, tablets, computers and augmentative communication with special conditions of up to 70% subsidy.
The "Shops with Sense" are a commitment by the Fundação MEO to promoting a fairer, more accessible and equal society, where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can access the same services with dignity, autonomy and comfort. The initiative covers not only the deaf community, but also people with visual impairments, reduced mobility or other specific needs.
This project continues the journey begun with "Music with Sense" and "Cinema with Sense", pioneering initiatives that have democratized access to culture through technology, whether at music festivals, concerts at the MEO Arena or cinemas.
