The Skope - Museum of Medicine and Health of the home Hermes Foundation, has officially opened, celebrating a new era in the appreciation of the history of medicine. With its roots in the Dr. Hermes home, founded by the illustrious Aveiro doctor and collector Hermes de Oliveira Castanhas, Skope is not just an exhibition space, but a true center of knowledge and health education.
Altice Labs, as Skope's technology partner, played a crucial role in this initiative, offering connectivity to the entire museum and developing an innovative and immersive museum experience called "inSkope". This experience invites visitors to enter a cabin and experience a fascinating journey between the past and the future of medicine.
Developed exclusively by Altice Labs, the "inSkope" booth offers visitors an interactive experience where they can privately monitor various vital data and biometric parameters. At the end, each participant receives a detailed report on their state of health, along with recommendations for promoting healthy habits.
The inauguration ceremony of Skope - Museum of Medicine and Health of the home Hermes Foundation - included speeches by José Ribau Esteves, Mayor of Aveiro, Prof. Manuel Teixeira Veríssimo, from the Center Regional Section of the Portuguese Medical Association, and João Paulo Firmeza, General Director of Altice Labs.
With the implementation of innovative projects such as "inSkope", Altice Labs reaffirms its commitment to communicating innovation, involving the community, transforming the way we interact with health and knowledge, and contributing to a healthier and more sustainable future.
