MEO Empresas campaign takes customers to small businesses

The Christmas season is usually a time of increased consumption. With the arrival of December, families embrace the hustle and bustle of buying presents, decorations, ingredients for Christmas Eve and the sweets that can't be missing from the table. With this as a starting point, MEO Empresas is launching a campaign that invites the Portuguese to relive their fondest Christmas memories. The aim is to lead them to the so-called 'small businesses' which, by calling each customer by name and asking if it's going to be 'the usual', play an essential role in the cohesion of the communities in which they operate and show that they are, after all, 'big businesses'. MEO Empresas is keen to be at the side of these 'big businesses'.

A partner of excellence for traditional commerce, with this campaign, as well as showing its support, the brand aims to boost the feeling of closeness and familiarity that characterizes this time of year. With 230 small businesses taking part, from the north to the south of the country and on the islands, the brand is once again putting technology at people's service. Those who visit MEO stores will be invited to get to know them and do their shopping nearby.

Using geo-referencing, the campaign is customized with specific messages for the businesses in that neighborhood, street, village or city where they will be displayed:

- In the windows and digital posters of MEO stores, directions will be given to products and establishments in that region, making it easier for the Portuguese to find local businesses;

- On the digital side, the website www.meoempresas.pt will have a landing page dedicated to the campaign, highlighting short stories from some of these businesses and videos with testimonials from small traders.

After its success in 2023, with the strong support of merchants and shoppers, MEO Empresas thus resumes its objective of boosting the local economy, while at the same time promoting the spirit of community and proximity in every purchase, values that become true symbols of celebration at Christmas.
