QualRede is a free, collaborative application. Its efficiency increases with the number of people who use it. Each consumer decides when and where to test the network. The results of the test, the location and type of connection are recorded anonymously. This allows the data to be updated on an interactive map, which shows the level of quality of mobile networks in Portugal.
The QualRede application is the result of a collaboration between DECO PROteste and 5Gmark, a company specializing in network quality tests. It simulates the real user experience through a scenario that integrates several tests, called the "Complete Test". The more measurements there are, in different locations, the better the reliability of the data for the three operators.
