'Accelerate with 100% green electricity' is the claim with which the retailer announces the launch of its vehicle charging service, at highly competitive prices and with no loyalty or maintenance costs. As of today, the service is available at more than 6,000 charging stations in the Mobi.e network in mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores.
Simplifying day-to-day life for customers, the new service for charging electric vehicles in complete comfort is available via the My MEO App. From there, ensuring that drivers don't run out of energy during their journeys, consumers just have to choose the type of cable, connect it to the station, swipe their MEO Energia Energy Mobility card and start charging.
MEO Energia 's new offer reaffirms the brand's positioning of creating sustainable products and services for customers' needs both inside and outside the home, with a special focus on the energy transition and preserving the planet, while contributing to consumer savings.
The results achieved by MEO Energia confirm the success of the strategy. Almost half of consumers who change supplier choose MEO Energia Of the energy service customers who opted to change electricity supplier last September, it was MEO Energia that benefited from the largest share of transitions. The data was revealed in the Energy Services Regulatory Authority's (ERSE) monthly bulletin on the liberalized market, released this week. "In September, MEO Energia was the supplier that attracted the largest number of customers in absolute terms, gaining around 42% of the number of customers who changed supplier, which represented net gains in the customer portfolio of 11% compared to the previous month," it reads. This is the third month in a row that the supplier has repeated the feat, having taken around 34% of customers from competitors in July and 42% in August, a figure repeated in the regulator's latest report.
In solid growth, the company has already surpassed 100,000 customers, reaching 2% of the market share.
In May of this year, the retailer renewed its commitment to leading the digital and energy transformation, combining energy, exclusively produced from 100% renewable sources, with technological innovation, supported by the country's largest infrastructure network. Since then, all MEO packages have included the joint offer of telecom plus energy, with cross-benefits for customers of both services, in total savings of up to 25% of the energy bill. The results now revealed by the regulator also come in a year in which MEO Energia has been introducing various innovations for the benefit of consumers. In March, the retailer launched a dynamic tariff which, updated hour by hour, allowed families to adjust their consumption according to these fluctuations. Later, in May, this adjustment became even easier.
MEO Energia has reaffirmed its position as a pioneer by launching an information service which, on a daily basis and in a transparent manner, shows customers their hourly consumption profile and anticipates the prices that will be charged the following day. Through the choice of the thousands of consumers who have chosen to switch to MEO Energia is fulfilling its commitment to lead the Digital Transition and the Energy Transition in full synergy, a holistic transition that integrates energy efficiency and technological progress.
